AIKEN, S.C. – The Clayton State men's basketball team lost 83-63 Wednesday night in a road Peach Belt Conference matchup. 

The Lakers fell behind early, trailing 12-0 at the 15:06 mark. Clayton State would eventually get on the scoreboard, but could never overcome the deficit and trailed 39-25 at halftime. 

Kobie Johnson scored a team-high 13 points while Jalen Shaw had a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double. Shaw also delivered five assists. 

The second half was a bit closer, but the Pacers extended its lead to win by 20. 

Xavier Joyner chipped in with 11 points. 
 
Up Next:
- The men are back on the road Saturday as they head to Georgia College. They then head to Atlanta for a 5 p.m. tipoff at Georgia Tech Sunday. On Monday, the Lakers are back in the Loch.
