AIKEN, S.C. – Nyeemah Lucky scored in the sixth minute and the Clayton State women's soccer team held on for a 1-0 win over USC Aiken in Saturday afternoon Peach Belt Conference match.
 
The goal marked the third career goal for Lucky as all three have come against USC Aiken. Last season she scored the overtime game-winner as the Lakers won at home 2-1.
 
Lucky scored after Marie Devillers delivered the ball off a corner kick. Lucky was able to get a head on it before the Pacer keeper could grab the ball, giving the Lakers the only goal of the match.
 
Clayton State dominated possession and held Aiken to just one shot for the entire match. The Lakers managed 18 shots (eight on goal) with Lucky taking a game-high five shots.
 
Valentina Bonaiuto saved the only shot she saw.
