Clayton State Athletics Delivers Program Record Give4Dreams Total With $41,466

MORROW, Ga. – In a span of just 24 hours, Clayton State Athletics once again set records and made another huge impact in continuing efforts to improve the student-athlete experience as the Department raised a record $41,466 during Give4Dreams 2020, Clayton State University's annual day of giving, on Wednesday, February 26.

Begun in 2016, Give4Dreams is Clayton State University's day of 24 hours of giving and it has become somewhat of a tradition for the Department to be among the most successful or innovative during that time. That was certainly the case this year.

Following a lead up to the event that included releases, social media and videos over the four days directly prior, Athletics' more than doubled the goal of 100 donors with 212 and averaged nearly $196 per donor.

That donor total was the highest of the 11 designated areas from the campaign while the $41,466 was nearly $16,000 more than the next closest amount.

As an institution, Clayton State raised $150,888 with an impressive 708 donors. Nearly 27.5-percent of that dollar total came from Athletics while the Department accounted for 30-percent of the donor total.

In the past, Laker initiatives have been the most successful segments and the Department raised nearly $3,300 for improvements to the weight room in 2017 and brought in nearly eight times that last year with a total of $24,015.

"Beyond grateful is what we are," said Director of Athletics Ryan Erlacher. "Our supporters stepped up in a big way for our student-athletes and invested in our program like never before. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to donate and help spread the word to their friends and family members. Thank you cannot begin to express how much we appreciate our supporters and friends."
