MORROW, Ga. – Following a tremendous campaign this past year, Clayton State Athletics has announced the new pricing and benefit plans for the Laker Club for the 2019-20 season.
Â
The fundraising arm of the Department, the Laker Club offers a number of opportunities for both individuals and community partners to be part of the thrill of Clayton State Athletics. For the upcoming year this includes seven different levels starting at the $50 Student Booster and ranging to the $5,000 Champion's Club.
Â
In between are Laker Member ($100), Coach Member ($250), Athletics Director Member ($500), The Loch Society ($1,000) and the All-American Club ($2,500). Each level comes with its own set of member rewards that can include items such as a foursome in the Laker Golf Classic, two complimentary all-sports passes, a Clayton State Athletics polo and recognition in various societies within the Department, just to name a few.
Â
The funds generated from the Laker Club go towards delivering the best possible student-athlete experience while driving championship performances in the athletic venue and in the classroom. In 2018-19, these areas saw three programs represented in the NCAA Division II Tournament, a pair of individuals earn All-American honors and the Department as a whole produce record-setting academic performances.
Â
Those were highlighted by an overall 3.0 GPA for the Fall Semester and for the entire year for the first time in program history as well as claiming the Peach Belt Conference President's Award, also for the first time. The latter represents the institution whose student-athletes not only perform better academically than their non-student-athlete peers but do so at the largest margin of any school in the league.
