Clayton State Set to Battle Young Harris in Key PBC Meeting on Senior Day

MORROW, Ga. – Sitting in a tie for eighth in the Peach Belt Conference women's soccer standings, Clayton State (6-5-1, 3-4-1 PBC) faces Young Harris College (6-8-0, 5-4-0 PBC) in a key league showdown on Saturday, November 2. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. at Laker Field with Senior Day festivities directly preceding.

The Lakers have 10 points and are tied with Georgia College (10 points), Monday's opponent, working to hold off USC Aiken (9) and gain on Francis Marion (12) and Lander (11 points). The top eight teams advance to the PBC Tournament.

All-time the Lakers lead the series with Young Harris at 5-3-1, dating to the first meeting on October 26, 2010. Clayton State won that meeting 1-0 at Laker Field before the Mountain Lions took their turn with the same score on September 8, 2011 in Young Harris.

Clayton State was undefeated over their next four games, winning three in a row before a 1-1 tie in the mountains on October 28, 2015. YHC has since claimed a 3-2 decision on October 18, 2016 in Young Harris and 1-0 in Morrow exactly one year later. The most recent meeting saw the Lakers snap that skid with a 2-1 victory at YHC on October 20, 2018.

There will be coverage of the game through both live stats and live video. Full multimedia coverage is available on www.ClaytonStateSports.com.
