MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Running for a fifth straight weekend, Clayton State men's cross country is clearly hitting their stride as all six runners notched 8k personal bests to lead the program to a 5-of-13 finish at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday, October 12. As team they produced 143 points.

Zach Czerniak (Suwanee, Ga.) led the Lakers for a second straight week as he finished 18-of-97 with a time of 26:59.20 and was followed closely by freshman
Javier Castillo (Forest Park, Ga.) in 24
th (27:40.80). Junior
Na'im Allen (McDonough, Ga.) rounded out the program's Top-30 finishers, coming in 27
th at 27:45.10.

Courtland White (Rex, Ga.) posted a 31
st place finish (27:52.80) with freshmen
Darryl Jefferson (Conyers, Ga.) in 43
rd (30:23.00) and
James Kilgore (Milledgeville, Ga.) in 60
th (31:03.80). The latter was running in his hometown in his first year of collegiate competition.

It is believed to be the first time in program history that the entire Laker contingent registered personal bests.

For the first time all year Clayton State will not compete next week as they now have a two week break before the 2019 Peach Belt Conference Championships. Those will be hosted by UNC Pembroke in Lumberton, North Carolina on Saturday, October 26. Race time is 10:15 a.m.
