MORROW, Ga. – A scheduled two week break got pushed back to 17 days since their last game courtesy of a washout this past Saturday, September 28 but Clayton State (3-1-0, 0-0-0 PBC) women's soccer is finally set to return the field and open 11 straight Peach Belt Conference games as they travel to Georgia Southwestern (3-3-1, 0-1-0 PBC) on Wednesday, October 2. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. in Americus, Georgia.
 
All-time, the Lakers are a perfect 13-0 against the Hurricanes dating back to the first meeting on September 11, 2006 in Morrow, Georgia. Including that 6-0 victory, they have won 10 of the 13 games by at least two goals.
 
GSW came closest in a 2-1 loss on October 21, 2009, a 1-0 defeat on October 17, 2002 and a 2-1 decision on October 12, 2016. All three of those games were in Americus. Clayton State produced a 5-0 victory in Morrow on October 11, 2017 and a 4-1 decision last season on September 19. The latter was the first time the two teams had met outside the month of October.
