MORROW, Ga. – Following its postponement on Wednesday, October 10, Clayton State (5-4-2, 2-4-0 PBC) will host No. 13 North Georgia (9-2-0, 5-1-0 PBC) in a rescheduled game on Monday, October 15. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at Laker Field.
The Lakers are
8-9-2 all-time against the Nighthawks, dating back to the first meeting on September 17, 2003. Coming off of that 0-0 tie at Laker Field, Clayton State would win the next five through 2007 before UNG put together a 7-2-1 stretch that was snapped in 2015. That day, the Lakers knocked off a No. 3 ranked North Georgia team by a 2-1 score in overtime on October 14.
Â
UNG posted a 5-0 decision in Dahlonega, Georgia on October 26, 2016 and a 5-1 victory at Laker Field in the most recent meeting on October 25, 2017. Â Despite that loss, the Lakers possess an impressive 6-2-1 home record in the series.
