MORROW, Ga. – For the first time in more than a decade, Clayton State (2-4, 0-3 PBC) women's soccer will take on No. 9 Carson-Newman (6-0-1, 3-0-1 SAC) as the teams meet in Chattanooga, Tennessee for an NCAA Division II women's soccer game on Wednesday, September 27. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at The Baylor School located at 171 Baylor School Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Â
The Lakers trail the all-time series 4-3, dating back to the first meeting on October 23, 1998. Since their last meeting, however, it has been 11 years since a 6-1 CNU victory in Jefferson City, Tennessee on September 3, 2006. The most important games in the series history came in consecutive years as Clayton State dropped 3-2 and 2-0 decisions in NCAA Quarterfinal games in 2004 and 2005, respectively.
