ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – Taking on their second highly ranked road opponent in as many days, Clayton State (0-5, 0-3 PBC) dropped a 9-0 decision at No. 12 Flagler (10-1, 5-0 PBC) in an NCAA Division II women's tennis match on Sunday, March 5.
 
The Saints picked up a pair of 8-0 victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles before junior Alina Ageichik (Minsk, Republic of Belarus) and freshman Laura Shkembi (Oostende, Belgium) pushed back at the second spot. In that match, they fell 8-3.
 
In singles action, FC notched a pair of victories at the fourth (6-0, 6-1) and sixth (6-1, 6-1) positions to seal the match. Playing at the top spot, senior Kristiin Mets (Kuressaare, Estonia) battled No. 44 Lizanne Jinkertz before succumbing 6-2, 6-3 in the Lakers top performance.
 
Clayton State is now off for a week before hosting neighboring Clark Atlanta on Sunday, March 12. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Clayton State Tennis Facility.
