ATLANTA, Ga. – In limited action on the opening day of the Emory Classic, Clayton State women's track & field picked up several personal bests on Friday, March 24.

Sophomore
Destiny Johnson (New Iberia, La.) led that charge as posted new personal highs in both the long jump and high jump. She would finish 9-of-32 in the high jump with a mark of 1.52-meters, surpassing her previous mark of 1.47 set last week at the Emory Invitational, and 21-of-37 in the long jump at 4.81-meters. The latter eclipsed her previous distance of 4.75-meters, also set last weekend.

Redshirt-junior
Latrese Hubbard (Cusseta, Ga.) joined her as she passed her previous mark with a new career distance of 38.43-meters in the hammer throw. She too had notched a new personal best last week, that a distance of 38.30-meters.

Chelsy Haynes (Buena Vista, Ga.) was 26-of-36 in the hammer with her own personal best of 31.95 while senior
Kemjika Finebone (Douglasville, Ga.) finished 13-of-37 in the long jump (5.06m) to round things out.
