Key Peach Belt Conference Outing Against Young Harris Up Next for Clayton State

MORROW, Ga. – In a game that will go a long way to determining their postseason fortunes, Clayton State (5-6, 2-4 PBC) will host Young Harris (7-3-1, 4-1-1 PBC) in Peach Belt Conference action on Wednesday, October 18. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at Laker Field.

YHC enters the game tied for fourth place with 13 points while the Lakers are in eighth with six points. The top eight teams will advance to the 2017 PBC Championship with the top four hosting quarterfinal games.

Clayton State leads the all-time series with Young Harris 4-2-1, dating to the first meeting on October 26, 2010. The Lakers won that meeting 1-0 at Laker Field before the Mountain Lions took their turn with the same score on September 8, 2011 in Young Harris.
 
Since then Clayton State is undefeated in four of the last five, winning three in a row before a 1-1 tie in the mountains on October 28, 2015. YHC claimed a 3-2 decision in the most recent meeting on October 18, 2016 in Young Harris. At home, the Lakers are a perfect 3-0 with the last meeting coming on September 17, 2014.
