MORROW, Ga. – Taking on one of the top teams in the country, Clayton State (2-7, 1-5 PBC) dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 16 Flagler (11-1, 5-0 PBC) in an NCAA Division II women's tennis match on Sunday, March 13.
 
In doubles action, the Saints would take all three with a pair of 8-3 decisions at No. 2 and No. 3 and posted an 8-4 victory at the top spot. A pair of victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles would then wrap up the victory with a fifth set victory.
 
Senior Raluca Pavel (Bacau, Romania) would deliver the Lakers lone point as she posted a 7-6, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. That decision would come against Kelly Stewart, who was 8-3 in the championship portion of the season. Her only losses prior to that had come against Division I North Florida and Appalachian State and Division II power No. 3 Saint Leo.
 
The Lakers are back in action a week from today on Sunday, March 20 when they host Alabama Huntsville. First serve is set for 10 a.m. in Morrow, Georgia.
