MORROW, Ga. – Following the postponement of their home opener, Clayton State (0-2, 0-1 PBC) returns to action when they head to neighboring Clark Atlanta (0-2, 0-1 CIAA) for a non-conference match on Sunday, February 14. First serve is set for 2 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Panthers have opened the season with a pair of losses, beginning with a 9-0 loss at USC Aiken (1/31) and a league loss to Tuskegee (2/7). CAU would fall 6-3 in that home opener before taking on Fort Valley on Saturday, February 13.
Clayton State returns to action following a 7-2 loss at No. 36 Augusta (2/11) in their last outing. Prior to that Peach Belt Conference opener they fell 8-1 at Middle Georgia State (2/7) in their season opener.
All-time, the Lakers are a perfect 5-0 over CAU dating back to the first meeting on March 21, 2009. Among those five wins are four 9-0 victories, including last season on February 7.
