MORROW, Ga. – Entering the home stretch of the regular season, Clayton State (7-5-1, 4-4-1 PBC) hosts USC Aiken (4-11, 2-6 PBC) on Saturday, October 22. Game time is set for approximately 3:30 p.m. at Laker Field following the men's contest.
 
The Lakers are battling for the highest positioning they can in the upcoming Peach Belt Conference Tournament with three games to play. Currently they sit in sixth by points but that could change with the recent announcement by the league that seeding may be determined by winning percentage for this year's tournament.
 
That move would be a result of numerous league games that have yet to be played as a result of the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. If all of those games do not get played, the league will use winning percentage to be fair to all teams. With three games left, Clayton State can get up to a .625 winning percentage and may climb as a result of other teams percentage dropping due to losses.
 
All-time, the Lakers are 13-5-1 against USCA dating to the first meeting on October 22, 1997. That 6-0 win at Laker Field would be the beginning of nine wins in the first 11 contests through September 22, 2007. Following back-to-back 2-0 wins by the Pacers in 2008 and 2009, Clayton State is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings.
