MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State (4-2, 1-0 PBC) women's soccer takes on a familiar name in Francis Marion (2-9) on Wednesday, September 23 but the game will not be your typical Peach Belt Conference game when the teams hook up in Aiken, S.C.
That would be because FMU has competed at the Division I level since the mid-2000's and the game will be a cross divisional matchup. The teams have met a total of nine times but not since October 23, 2005 when the Lakers earned a 1-1 tie. Overall, they trail in the all-time standings 2-7-1 with the victories coming in consecutive seasons on October 13, 2001 and October 21, 2002.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. on the campus of USC Aiken.
