Espousing the old axiom that records are made to be broken, Clayton State women's indoor track & field did just that as three more went down, including one better than a decade old, at the KMS Open on Sunday, February 16.

That decade-plus old record that fell by the wayside would be the 4x200 relay that was last set in 2009 with a mark of 1:47.53 by Keisha Etienne, Jon Taylor, Masiah Hutchinson, Natasha Gass. The group that took it down would be seniors
Jasmine Radford (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and
Nia Elmore (Hinesville, Ga.) along with sophomore
Kayla Williams (Decatur, Ga.) and junior
Chaviya Jackson (Albany, Ga.) as they lowered the mark with a time of 1:47.41.

Three of those individuals would also reset the 4x400 relay record as junior
Na'ilah Allen (McDonough, Ga.) joined Jackson, Elmore and Radford with a time of 4:01.22. That easily outdistanced the previous record of 4:04.75 set by Elmore, Jackson, Radford and current junior
