Redshirt-junior Madison Newby (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was incredibly consistent, and at a high level, over the course of a pair of victories this past week. During those games she averaged 20.0 points, 5.5 steals, 1.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in just under 26 minutes per game. She also shot .700 from the field and .800 from the foul line.

Facing Young Harris (2/6) she played just 19 minutes but went 8-of-10 and registed a career-high tying 20 points while grabbing five boards and swiping five steals. That performance helped the Lakers to a 74-57 victory.

Newby was just as impressive to close the week at Francis Marion (2/9) when she once again tied her career-high with 20 points, going 8-of-9 from the foul line, and produced a personal best six steals. She also added three assists and a rebound in an 80-72 victory.

On the year she is averaging 11.1 points, 2.3 steals, 2.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds while shooting .478 from the floor and .682 at the line.
