Mohamed Mahrous comes into the 2025 season as a first-year Assistant Coach of Video & Analytics for Coach Petersen. Mahrous played for the Lakers and Coach Petersen from 2023-2024. During his time in Morrow, Mohamed scored a pair of goals and added three assists. He was also instrumental on the defensive side of the ball and led the team to two-straight NCAA Tournament appearances including a berth to the Elite Eight in 2024. He also attempted 26 shots as well. Mahrous was selected to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll following the 2024 season.
Before playing at Clayton State, Mahrous was a all-conference defender for Georgia Southwestern University from 2020-2022. In 32 matches, Mohamed scored three goals and attempted 18 shots. He scored two of his three goals in his sophomore season back in 2021.
Mohamed is a native of Marrakech, Morooco and is currently working towards his MBA at Clayton State University. Mahrous also assists with various graphic design and marketing tasks with the Office of Student Affairs.
