Coach Momeni joined Laker Nation prior to the 2025 season as an Assistant Coach for Coach Petersen. Momeni brings a lot of diverse skills to the men's soccer coaching staff.
Currently, Coach Momeni also serves as the Director of Community Relations for the Rush Union Soccer Club, a freelance writer for PrepSoccer.com, a College Recruiting Coordinator, and an Assistant Varsity Coach for Alpharetta HS. He brings also experience as a Partnership Manager for ACG Sports Mental Performance.
Coach Momeni has a vast amount of coaching experience. Most notably, Coach Kom was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Southern Polytechnic State in Marietta from 2006-2014. There, he was a four-time NAIA Coach of the Year nominee and finished with a overall record of 88-35-12. For his efforts, Momeni was inducted into the KSU Marietta Hall of Fame. Momeni also has stops as an Assistant Coach at Coastal Carolina (2002-06), Incarnate Word (1999-02), Ferrum (1998-99), Mary Washington (1997-98),
Coach Momeni also was a head coach of Chancellor HS in Fredericksburg, Va. where he was a two-time All-District Champion and Coach of the Year. He went 43-9-4 overall.
Coach Momeni received his Master of Arts degree from the University of Incarnate Word while obtaining his Bachelor degree in Political Science from Radford University. Kom also holds a National diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and has a Advanced Sport Psychology and Neuroscience certificate.
