2019 Peach Belt Conference Track Athlete of the Week (3/13)

Indoor Track & Field
2018-19: Competed in 11 events across all four meets … set personal bests in three events, including the 200-meters (23.20) and 4x400 relay (3:22.81) at the Southern Indoor Challenge (2/11) … other came in the 60-meters with a time of 7.09 at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker (11/30) in first collegiate action … placed 24-of-72 in the latter and 33-of-61 in the 200-meters (23.26) in that meet … came in 6-of-51 in 60-meters (7.11), 18-of-56 in the 200-meters (23.20) and 3-of-13 in 4x400 relay at Southern Indoor.

Outdoor Track & Field
2019: A workhorse, saw action in six meets and 19 events during his first outdoor campaign … named Peach Belt Conference Track Athlete of the Week (3/13) … was the first Laker from the men’s program to accomplish that since 2015 … included best meet of career at the at Gulf South/Peach Belt Challenge (4/6) … in that meet set personal bests in 100-meters (11.14), 200-meters (22.49) and 4x100 relay (41.69) … placed 9-of-27 and 12-of-26 in the first two, respectively … would reset the 100-meter mark at 10.96 at the Peach Belt Conference Championship (4/20) … added PR in 4x400 relay (3:22.93) at Savannah State Eye Opener (3/2) … produced a pair of top five finishes, including 5-of-52 in the 200-meters (22.82) and 3-of-14 in the 4x400 in that meet … also notched 7-of-48 performance in the 100-meters (11.26) in that debut effort.

Newnan High School: A multi-sport athlete, competed in football, track and field and one year each of baseball, basketball and soccer … delivered senior season that saw him qualify for 7A Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Championships in 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay … that same season finished third in 100-meters (11.05), 200-meters (22.87) and 300-meters (41.19) at Coweta County Championships … earned Coweta County Championship in 300-meter hurdles (41.85) as a sophomore and was runner-up as a freshman with a time of 43.42 … also placed third in 110-meter hurdles (16.40) at county championships as a freshman … helped lead Cougars to 4x400-meter relay championship and 4x100-meter runner-up in career … also notched 4x400 7A Regional Championship and 4x100 runner-up finish … also competed at the club level with the Southside Pioneers and Delaware Elite Track and Field club … graduated with 3.5 GPA.
