Middle Georgia Upends Lakers on Wednesday Evening

COCHRAN, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's basketball team traveled to Cochran on Wednesday evening to take on the Middle Georgia State University Knights.  The Lakers stayed engaged, shared the ball with plenty of assists, and kept pushing to close the gap, but the Knights ultimately pulled away for a 66-46 win.
 
From the tip-off, the Lakers came out focused, moving the ball effectively and finding open teammates for clean shots. Their passing created opportunities, and several baskets came directly from assist heavy sequences, showing signs of chemistry and teamwork. While Middle Georgia held the lead, the Lakers fought to close the gap and set a competitive tone heading into halftime.

After halftime, the Lakers came out ready to push, attacking the rim and battling for every possession. They continued to find each other with clean passes, connecting on key shots while securing rebounds to extend their opportunities. Despite the Knights extending their lead, the Lakers never gave up, finishing the game with heart and determination.
