Men's Cross Country | October 2, 2026
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – The Clayton State cross country teams competed in the Georgia Tech XC Invitational Friday morning at the Fox Hall Sporting Club. The Lakers ran well and competed hard against some top-notch competition.
MEN'S SIDE
The Lakers were led by
Dion Dial who finished with a PR time of 26:19. His time is also good for 16
th all-time in program history. Following close behind is fellow senior
Mykell Strickland. Strickland clocked the 20
th fastest time in program history with a time of 29:29.8.
Josh Soluade and
Miles Johnson rounded out the field for the Lakers, running times of 29:31.1 and 30:32, respectively.

WOMEN'S SIDE
The women's team were led by
Gisele Cabrera. Cabrera finished her 6k in 25:41.5. She was followed by
India Williamson,
Maleena Castillo, and
Amaya Myers. Williamson clocked a time of 26:09.6, which is good for a new PR, while Castillo and Myers finished in 26:15.4 and 26:24.3, respectively. All those times are good for new PRs.
Jamea Lindley rounded out the top five on the team as she finished her 6k in 27:07.7.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lakers compete in the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, N.C. on Friday, October 9
th. The women's race kicks us off at 3:30 p.m. while the men race at 5:45 p.m. This meet is hosted by Queens University (N.C.).
