Women's Basketball Suffers Loss at Home To Middle Georgia

Morrow, GA – The Lakers hosted the Middle Georgia State University Knights on Wednesday afternoon, competing across four quarters before falling 62–50.

From the tip-off, the Lakers came out firing on defense, contesting shots and battling for every rebound. Kyla Greene set the tone early with crisp perimeter shooting, while Dazjanae Greene made plays on both ends, pushing the pace and creating opportunities in transition. From the inside, Etaria Gibbons controlled the paint and pulled down key boards for the Lakers. The Lakers pushed hard on second chance points and aggressive drives, staying in striking distance as they headed into halftime.

After halftime, the Lakers kept competing with energy and composure, challenging the Knight's runs with effort on both ends. Jasmyn Burts contributed with a key steal and fastbreak layup off the bench, while Dazjanae Greene and Kyla Greene knocked down three pointers to help keep the Lakers in it. Gibbons maintained control of the paint and pulled down key rebounds, giving the Lakers extra opportunities on both ends. Defensive intensity stayed high through the fourth, forcing turnovers and generating extra opportunities, but despite their fight, the Lakers came up short, falling 62–50.
