COCHRAN, Ga. – The Clayton State University men's soccer team traveled down to play PBC newcomer Middle Georgia State University on Wednesday evening. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw.
The possession at the early part of the first half was all Lakers but nobody put a shot on frame until
Gonzalo LaChica in the 16
th minute. The match remained at 0-0. The Lakers tacked on the match's first goal. In the 25
th minute,
Miguel Torrecillas received a ball from
Andree Jimenez and finished for his first goal of the season making the score, 1-0. That score held true going into the halftime break. The Lakers did not allow a Middle Georgia State shot in the first half, outshooting them, 8-0.

The second half started a lot like how the first half ended with a flurry of shots from the Lakers.
Camilo Velez and Torrecillas each fired in a pair of shots apiece. The Knights evened the match up in the 65
th minute on a penalty kick. Later in the half, the Lakers jumped back out front. In the 80
th minute,
Garbhan Feeney scored his first goal of the season and made the score, 2-1. Not even a minute later saw the Knights knot up the match at two.
The two teams finished 90 minutes with a 2-2 draw.
