Murfreesboro, NC--- The Clayton State University Men's basketball team fell in its final game of the PBC/SAC Conference Challenge to Lenoir-Rhyne 116-73.
The Lakers found themselves down 15-0 in the first 5 minutes of the first half but after a timeout called by the Lakers the shots started to fall.
Jamil Aleem scored the first field goal for the Lakers with a fastbreak three pointer.

DJ Wright, and Dezmond Perkins also got involved in the scoring column each making field goals to bring the Bears lead to 12 with 8 minutes left to go in the first half. The Lakers continued to play tough as the first half went on but it was the hot shooting from the Bears that had them up by 21 points going into the half.
Halftime: Lenoir-Rhyne 54, Clayton State 33.
Coming out into the second half, both teams continued to play tough as each team was able to get into the paint to score tough layups. Perkins got the scoring going for the Lakers with two made free throws while getting into the paint scoring layups. As the second half went on, Lenoir-Rhyne continued to maintain their distance from the Lakers leading by as much as 49 points. That did not stop the Lakers from continuing to compete as they were able to continue to grab rebounds and see scoring from in the paint.
Ultimately, the Lakers ended up falling in the final game of the PBC/SAC Challenge 116-73.
