The Lakers Played Flagler College on Saturday Afternoon

The Saints shut out the Lakers, 2-0

SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team returned to the pitch after a 10-day break as they played Flagler College on Saturday.  The Lakers were stymied offensively and fell, 2-0. 
 
The Lakers were only able to muster one shot in the first half which was attempted by Aniyah Vargas in the 40th minute.  Flagler scored a goal at the 30th minute and led, 1-0, going into the halftime break.  Rubie Kelley made four saves in the half.
 
Halftime: Flagler 1, Clayton State 0
 
The Lakers were again on the defensive in the second half and were only able to attempt a pair of shots.  Vargas and Karley Perry tallied shots.  Flagler extended their lead at the 64th minute and took a 2-0 lead. 
 
Flagler outshot Clayton State 12-3 and won, 2-0. 
 
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lakers (3-7-1 (2-5 PBC)) host the Golden Rams of Albany State University on Wednesday, October 22nd at 3 p.m. on Laker Field for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.
