MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University men's basketball team suffered a 91-64 loss inside the Loch on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints got off to a good start in the first quarter scoring eight of the first 11 points and made the score, 8-3.
Matt Brown drained a three to mark the lone field goal during that stretch. The Lakers then saw baskets from
Mason Pierre,
Yannis Woods,
Jojo Bell, and
Aaron Pitts and took a 14-12 lead. At the score 17 all, Flagler went on a 9-2 run and took the lead at 26-19.
The Saints scored the final eight points of the half and took a 13-point lead at 36-23 going into the half.

The Saints put on an offensive clinic in the second half and shot a sizzling 73% from the field. The Lakers started the half draining shots as
DJ Wright, Brown, and Bell all made threes and made the score, 46-35. The Lakers could not manage many stops in the defensive side of the ball and the Saints continued to pile on. At the score, 50-41, Flagler went on a 13-0 run and jumped out to a 63-41 lead. The second half saw bench players like
Emmanuel Jones,
Tahai Morgan, and Woods chip in baskets.
The Lakers never were able to cut into the sizeable advantage by Flagler and utimatly fell 91-64.
