MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Clayton State University men's soccer team wrapped up a mini-two match road trip as they played nationally-ranked Auburn-Montgomery on Sunday afternoon. The Warhawks and Lakers played to a 1-1 draw.
The Lakers applied the early pressure as
Alexis Iturria,
Vic Delgado Miller, and
Alex Rodriguez all notched shots in the first 30 minutes of the half. The Warhawks opened their scoring in the 39
th minute and took a 1-0 lead. A couple of minutes later, the Lakers evened the score. Off a pass from Delgado Miller, Iturria found the back of the net for his first goal of the season making the score, 1-1. That score held true going into the halftime break.

Fallah Johnson Jr., Rodriguez, and
Aaron Diaz all marked shots for the Lakers at the beginning of the second half but the score remained 1-1. The Lakers had the momentum until the 66
th minute. AUM pressured Clayton State keeper
Mauricio Uribe as they sent in three shots and three corner kicks in six minutes. The score remained at 1-1.
Neither team had any major scoring opportunities in the final 15 minutes of the match as the Lakers and Warhawks ended in a 1-1 draw.
