Boxscore ATLANTA—The Clayton State University men's basketball team picked up a 66-57 win over Clark Atlanta University on Wednesday evening.
Aaron Pitts led the way with 21 points on 10 field goals made.
Clark Atlanta jumped out to a 10-4 lead early in the first half.
Lay Davis and Pitts knocked down field goals during that stretch. The Lakers eventually tied the game at 10 after
DJ Wright, Pitts, and
Dashaun Joseph made field goals. The Panthers then answered with a 13-2 run and made the score 23-12.
The Lakers fought all the way back from down double-digits in the final six minutes of the half and made the score 29-28 going into the halftime break. Pitts,
Christian Chambers,
Jojo Bell, and Wright all made baskets down the stretch for the Lakers.

The early portion of the second half was back-and-forth as the score was knotted up at 36 six minutes in.
Elijah Dates and
Jamall Clyce, among others, knocked in baskets for the Lakers. The game was controlled by Clayton State the majority of the game. With 10 minutes left, Wright drained four three-pointers and made the score, 60-48. The Lakers shot 42% from the field in the second half.
Joseph and Pitts made shots for the Lakers in the final minutes and beat Clark Atlanta, 66-57 to earn their third win of the season.
