DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team played the University of North Georgia at the UNG Soccer Complex on Wednesday evening.
The Lakers were outshot, 8-1, in the first half and drew even with the Nighthawks, 0-0, after the first 45 minutes.
Trinity Chastain made four saves on eight shots faced. The Lakers saw their only opportunity to score in the 2
nd minute of play as
Amiah Sprunger-Hightower's shot was saved.
Halftime: Clayton State 0, North Georgia 0
The Lakers did not fire off a shot in the second half as the Nighthawk offensive unit pressured Chastain and the defensive unit most of the half. North Georgia opened its scoring in the 46
th minute and made the score, 1-0. The Nighthawks scored additional goals in the 63
rd and 88
th minute to defeat Clayton State, 3-0.
