MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team concluded its two-match home stand with a matchup with Georgia College & State University on Wednesday evening. The two teams played to a 0-0 draw.
The Lakers started with a couple of golden chances. In the 3
rd minute and 5
th minute,
Amiah Sprunger-Hightower dribbled the ball into the zone and sent in two shots that were immediately stopped by the Bobcat keeper. The score read 0-0. Amiah had another opportunity to score but her shot in the 26
th minute hit woodwork. The Lakers attempted eight shots in the first half and the score stood at 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.

The second half proved to be an aggressive battle as each team say their share of cards and possession battles. The Bobcats controlled the second half early with a flurry of shots, but they were all stopped by Laker keeper
Trinity Chastain. Smilia Rosenborg in the 58
th minute marked the first Laker shot but that was easily smothered by the Bobcat keeper. Everything was going the Bobcat way until the 63
rd minute and they found themselves a player down due to a red card. Then,
Leah Agrell and Sprunger-Hightower saw opportunities, but those shots were saved by GCSU.
Each keeper made eight saves as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
