GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team traveled to play unbeaten Lander University on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers and Bearcats ended the match in a 0-0 draw.
The Lakers and Bearcats ended the first 45 minutes with a 0-0 draw. Lander controlled most of the half and fired off seven shots and
Trinity Chastain made four saves. The Lakers only managed two shots all from
Carrie Consolino.

The offensive intensity picked up in the second half for both teams as they combined for 13 shots. Lander sent in the first three shots of the half, and one was saved by Chastain. Consolino,
Leah Agrell,
Amiah Sprunger-Hightower, and
Julia Hasenecz all notched shots in the second half for the Lakers. The best opportunity for the Lakers came in the final minute of the match as Consolino shot a ball but it missed the net just off to the left.
The Lakers remains unbeaten in the 2024 season and settled for a 0-0 draw against Lander.
