MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University Department of Athletics had another stellar year of community service. Whether that was working a soccer or a basketball game or cleaning up trash around campus or reading to elementary school kids, the department of athletics really connected with our community.
Helper Helper is the entity that helps track community service hours for all athletic departments across the three NCAA Divisions. Clayton State finished the year ranked fourth in all of Division II according to an end-of-season report that came out on Friday evening. As a whole, the Division II schools combined to work 2,805 events and recorded 113,635 hours. Flagler College, who earned the #20 rating, joins Clayton State as the only Peach Belt Conference (PBC) represented in the top-25.
As a department, the Lakers worked 49 events for a total of 2,310 hours. Below are the teams who cracked the top-10 in their individual sport.
