EATONTON, Ga. – The No. 12 Clayton State University men's golf team finished in tied for fifth place in the Bobcat Invitational at the Cuscowilla Golf Course on Tuesday.  Georgia Southwestern won the tournament followed by West Florida and North Georgia.
 
Leading the way for the Lakers was senior Sam Hershoff.  Hershoff finished in tied for 10^th after shooting a final round 70 (E).  Following behind Hershoff was Daniel Medellin and Felipe Gomez, who both finished in tied for 15^th shooting three-over par.  Both Laker golfers wrote a 71 (+1) in the scorecards in the final round. 
 
Nico Cabello then followed close behind and finished in tied for 25^th after shooting a final round score of 73 (+3).  Rounding out the Lakers was Augusto Oliva.  After shooting a 76 in the first round, Oliva bounced back nicely and carded a final round 72 (+2) and finished in tied for 41^st. Oliva also led the field with shooting three-under on the par-fives. 
 
The Lakers carded 17 birdies on the round and was the only team in the field with two or more eagles as they finished tied for fifth in the tournament.

The Lakers travel to Lenoir City, Tenn. As they conclude their regular season at the Tennessee River Rumble on Monday, March 27^th through Tuesday, March 28^th.  The tournament hosted by Lincoln Memorial will take place at the WindRiver Golf Club.
