KANSAS CITY – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) unveiled its selections for the All-Region teams late on Monday evening. Clayton State University women's soccer player Amiah-Sprunger-Hightower received third-team mention. She becomes the first Laker since 2015 to be recognized as a USC All-Region selection. Amiah is also one of 13 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) selections. The University of North Georgia, Flagler, Columbus State, and USC Beaufort saw at least one selection on the list that spreads across the three teams.
"We are extremely proud of Amiah's accomplishments this year as she fully justifies her All-Region selection," said Head women's soccer coach Ross Henderson. "Amiah has continued to push, learn and improve through her two years at Clayton State so far. She is a big part of a strong unit that continue to get better with each year. Our staff and our team have seen the hard work Amiah has put in this year and will be expecting more accolades in the coming years."
A native of Westfield, Ind., Sprunger-Hightower had a special season for the Lakers. The Laker forward scored 15 goals and added six assists. Her 15 goals was good for the conference lead and was good for tied for 11
th in the nation. Against Albany State, Sprunger-Hightower tied the school record tallying 10 points. She scored four goals and added a pair of assists in the match. To end the season, Sprunger-Hightower scored at least one goal in her final eight matches. In general, Amiah has notched four multi-goal efforts. This season, Sprunger-Hightower also led the Lakers in points (36), shots (57), and shots on frame (36).

The USC All-America teams will be announced on Thursday, December 7
th. The first-team All-Region honorees will be eligible for All-America accolades.
