MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University women's soccer team played the No. 4 Cougars of Columbus State University in a Peach Belt Conference matchup on Wednesday night.  The Cougars shutout the Lakers, 7-0. 
 
The Cougars kept their foot on the gas throughout the first half of play as they scored three times. Columbus State scored a penalty kick in the 10^th minute, off a break away in the 13^th minute, and scored their third in the 23^rd minute. The best opportunity for the Lakers was at the 41^st minute when Frederikke Troldborg set up Nyeemah Lucky in front of the net, but the ball was stopped by the Cougar keeper.   
 
Halftime: No. 4 Columbus State 2, Clayton State 1
 
In the second half, The Cougars did not let up as they tacked on another four goals to make the score, 7-0.  Ashlynne Sova, Tahlia Stangherlin, and Kamila Mroziewicz all marked shots on goal in the half. 
 
Columbus State outshot the Lakers, 43-9, in the match and went on to win, 7-0.
