MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's soccer team returned home after a four-match road trip and faced off against the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern State University on Wednesday evening. The Lakers fell, 4-0.
The Lakers started the match pressuring the Hurricanes as
Isaac Pimenta,
Lewis Green, and
Langston Blackstock all fired shots within the first five minutes of the match. The Hurricanes then struck of their first goal of the match at the 21
st minute making the score, 1-0. Georgia Southwestern then kept putting its foot on the gas and extended the lead to 2-0 in the 32
nd minute.
The Lakers outshot the Hurricanes, 6-4, but trailed, 2-0, going into the break.

The start of the second half was physical as there were two yellow cards handed down. The best chance for the Lakers to get on the board was in the 61
st minute when
Youkendjy Pacius booted a free kick, but the Hurricane keeper made a remarkable save. The score stood at 2-0. Georgia Southwestern scored its third goal of the match a couple of minute later in the 70
th minute.
The Hurricanes added another goal in the 86
th minute and they went onto win the match, 4-0.
