MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State Department of Athletics raised $130,001 during the University's annual Give4Dreams fundraiser, setting a program record. The fundraiser began on April 6 and lasted for 1969 minutes.
The amount raised came from 548 donors which exceeded the program's donor goal by 258% and sets a new department record. Last year, Athletics raised $50,100 from 375 donors which were both then department records.
"The support shown during Give4Dreams was extraordinary and demonstrates first-hand the wonderful fan base we have propelling our department forward," Director of Athletics
Ryan Erlacher said.
The University in total raised $409,576 from 1,018 donors across 14 categories and exceeded its own donor goal of 750 by 135%. Athletics topped the available categories once again and raised more than $14,000 more than the next highest category.
"Thank you to each and every person who made this year's giving day extra special, we are beyond grateful," Erlacher said.
Begun in 2016, Give4Dreams is Clayton State's day of giving and has become somewhat of a tradition for the Department of Athletics to be among the most successful or innovative during that time.
The funds raised by the Department of Athletics are intended to continue to help build and maintain championship level programs through facility enhancements, better travel accommodations, advanced equipment and by providing the best possible student-athlete experience.
