MORROW, Ga. – The sixth-seeded Clayton State women's basketball team will play in its 16th Peach Belt Conference semifinal game on Saturday as the Lakers take on the second-seeded Lander University Bearcats.
Tip is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Dahlonega, Ga. at the University of North Georgia. Tickets cost $10 and will need to be purchased
here prior to arriving to the UNG Convocation Center.

The Bearcats enter as the No. 6 team in the country after putting together a 24-4 record this season. Lander got the best of Clayton State in the first meeting, winning 79-68 on January 15. The two teams were set to play again on January 24, but the Lakers would take a forfeit win due to COVID-19 protocols.
Kaleena Coleman '06 is looking for her first win, when both teams play, against the Bearcats since the 2015-16 season.
Clayton State earned the semifinal berth after upsetting third-seeded Ga. Southwestern Wednesday night, 62-54.
Timi'a Swanson led the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds while
Jadah Waite and
Audrey McElhaney added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Lander is looking to advance to its third-straight PBC title game. The Bearcats knocked off Flagler 107-77 in the quarterfinals.
On Thursday, McElhaney and Swanson were named second-team All-Conference. Lander's Makaila Cangé was named Co-Player of the Year while teammates Amiaya Melvins and Miriam Ricarte earned third-team All-Conference honors.
