MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's and women's basketball teams will host Georgia Southwestern Wednesday night for a midweek Peach Belt Conference showdown.
Wednesday's games will be presented by Georgia's Own Credit Union and will also serve as Spirit Night. The first 50 students to attend the women's game will be given a Clayton State Athletics t-shirt while fans will have opportunities to win prizes during halftime of the men's game.
The women tipoff at 5:30 p.m. while the men follow at 7:30 p.m. The game can be watched

The women are in a fight for fourth place in the conference standings and will have a tough battle against the Hurricanes. Currently, the Lakers are fourth in the standings and have a game up on Augusta and Columbus State. Columbus does own the tiebreaker over the Lakers.
Clayton State hosts Augusta on Saturday for Senior Day.
GSW has locked up a home conference tournament game but still has a chance for the No. 2 seed.
The women are coming off consecutive wins and have won five of their last six. Earlier this season, the Lakers fell 67-60 at GSW and have dropped two straight against the Hurricanes.
Overall, Clayton State has a 32-15 record against GSW.
Audrey McElhaney and
Timi'a Swanson continue to lead the team in points and rebounds. McElhaney is averaging 14.5 points and 7.8 rebounds while Swanson is scoring 13.2 a game and grabbing 6.8 boards.
The men are coming off a close loss to Georgia College on Saturday and will look to snap a three-game losing skid to the Hurricanes.
Currently, GSW holds the final conference tournament spot and is two games up on Clayton State. The Lakers need to win out to have a chance at making the tournament.
GSW got the best of Clayton State in Americus, Ga. earlier this season, winning 66-62.
Junior
Jalen Shaw leads the team in scoring (14.1), rebounding (8.4), blocks (1.3), steals (1.1) and field goal percentage (63.3%). His shooting percentage and rebounding leads the conference. He also ranks 11th national in shooting percentage, 26th in double-doubles, 33rd in total rebounds and 45th in total blocks.
