Men’s and Women’s Basketball Begins Three-Game Homestand Saturday

MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's and women's basketball teams welcome Georgia College to The Loch Saturday for the first of three-straight home games to close the regular season.
 
The women tipoff at 1:30 p.m. while the men hit the court after. Fans can watch the game here.
 
The Clayton State women won by forfeit earlier in the season over Georgia College and hold a 39-22 record over the Bobcats. Over the last 10 games in the series, the Lakers are 9-1.
 
The women are coming off a 70-68 overtime win at Flagler Wednesday and are 4-1 in their last five games.
 
The remaining three games are crucial for the Lakers and their fight to secure a top-four spot in the league standings. Currently, they are tied with Columbus State for fourth, but the Cougars hold the tiebreaker.
 
The men are coming off a tough loss at Flagler after winning an emotional Homecoming matchup against Columbus State on Saturday.
 
The Bobcats lead the overall series 29-27 and have won two straight. Over the last 10 games, the series is 5-5. This will be the first meeting inside The Loch since Dec. 21, 2019.
 
The Lakers are fighting for a conference tournament spot as they sit ninth in the league standings.
