MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State University men's soccer team hosted the Pacers of USC Aiken at Laker Field on Wednesday evening. The Lakers avenged their early-season loss and defeated the Pacers, 6-2.
The Lakers did not waste much time to jump on the board in the first half. Off a great ball by

Youkendjy Pacius knocked in his third goal of the season. The Lakers opened the match leading, 1-0. The Pacers then evened the match seven minutes later and made the score, 1-1. The Lakers then took the lead in the 32
nd minute. After USC Aiken was called for a handball in the box,
Langston Blackstock fired in his penalty kick and made the score, 2-1. The Lakers outshot the Pacers, 8-3, and led 2-1 after the first 45 minutes.

The second half started the same way that the first half started as the Lakers added a quick goal. After
Isami Takeuchi's shot was initially knocked down by the USC Aiken keeper,
Vic Delgado Miller was able to get a leg on the rebound for his fifth goal of the season. Clayton State led, 3-1. After a flurry of shots by
Isaac Pimenta, Pacius,
Geo Rios, and Blackstock, the Lakers tack on more goals. In the 81
st minute, Rios delivered a nice through-ball to Blackstock, who finished for his second goal of the match, making the score, 4-1. The Lakers were not done yet as the script was flipped in the 84
th minute when Blackstock fed the ball to Rios and scored his fourth goal of the season, making the score, 5-1.
The Pacers added a late goal in the 87
th minute and Blackstock completed his hattrick as the Lakers ran away from USC Aiken winning, 6-2.

nd at 3:30 p.m. Saturday's match is also Senior Day as well as Community Day! The Lakers defeated Young Harris, 2-1, earlier in the season.
