MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State women's soccer team lost 5-1 to No. 1 Flagler College on Saturday afternoon in the opening weekend for Peach Belt Conference play. 

Flagler entered the match as the No. 1 team in the country and led 1-0 at halftime. 

After the break, the Saints scored in the 49th, 50th and 53rd minute to extend the lead and put the game out of reach. 

The Lakers totaled 12 shots for the match while Flagler finished with 21. 

The Saints then scored their final goal in the 66th minute before Kamila Mroziewicz scored in the 88th minute to prevent the shutout. The defender found a pass from Pia Haug to score her third goal of the season. 

COMING UP:
- Clayton State travels to Queens (N.C.) on Wednesday for a 5:00 p.m. matchup.
