Clayton State Athletics Unveils Hall of Fame Display

MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State Department of Athletics unveiled its Hall of Fame display earlier this week, giving the prestigious club a permanent home inside the Athletics Center.

The display, located in the main lobby of the Athletics Center, features placards for all 27 inductees with room for growth over the next several years. A 90-inch monitor located between both sections of the display will be incorporated, highlighting members, photos and Hall of Fame news.

"We are extremely proud of our Hall of Fame members and it's important we recognize and remember their contributions," Director of Athletics Ryan Erlacher said. "As part of an elite group, this project allows us to show the respect and appreciation that each Hall of Fame member deserves."

Established in 2013, the Clayton State Athletics Hall of Fame was created to honor former Laker student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty/staff and community members who have, by their outstanding achievements, contributed to the ideals of the Clayton State Department of Athletics. Seven classes and 27 former student-athletes, coaches, administrators and special inductees have been enshrined.

The newest addition to the Athletics Center joins a long list of branding initiatives the Lakers have completed over the past years. In October 2020, Clayton State collaborated with PepsiCo to bring enhancements to the weight room with the addition of five Clayton State branded half racks.

"It's been really neat to see our current student-athletes checking out the wall and hearing the firsthand accounts from current staff members who witnessed these great individuals. We are thrilled to be able to honor our Hall of Fame members for their remarkable achievements," Erlacher said.
