Kamila Mroziewicz scored her first goal as a Laker, leading Clayton State to a 1-0 win over Lander in Friday's Peach Belt Conference matchup.
Mroziewicz collected a rebound from a
Valeria Gasca shot, giving Clayton State (2-1, 2-1) its second-straight overtime win.
Clayton State last played on February 22 when
Nyeemah Lucky scored a pair of goals in a 2-1 overtime win against USC Aiken.
The Lakers outshot Lander 4-1 in the first half, placing two on goal. The Bearcats' (2-5, 2-5) offense expoled for 11 shots in the second but could only place two on goal while Clayton State put all four second-half shots on target.
Lander had two shots late in the second half, both going wide.
After a pair of Bearcat shots opened overtime, Clayton State closed the game with three shots on goal, concluding with Mroziewicz's gamewinner.
Seven Lakers finished with at least one shot.
Reia Henry had a game-high three shots on goal while
Ida Ditlevsen added a pair of shots on goal.
Valentina Bonaiuto's clean sheet was highlighted with three saves.
