MORROW, Ga. – Newcomers Nyeemah Lucky and Stef Korfas have been named the Drury Inn & Suites Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of February 16-22.

It was a busy week for the Lakers as five teams competed at least once.

The women's soccer team played once at home, winning 2-1 in overtime against USC Aiken while the men's basketball team played three games, all on the road.
 
The women's basketball team also played three road contests, going 2-1 while the men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker in overtime to Young Harris. The men's golf team closed the week out on Tuesday, finishing second overall in the Hurricane Invitational. 
 
Nyeemah Lucky (Fr.) – Women's Soccer (Atlanta, Ga. | Westlake)
- The freshman made her first collegiate start on Monday
- Played 20 minutes
- Scored the opening goal of the game off an Ida Ditlevsen free kick
- Put away the gamewinner in overtime after collecting a rebounded shot
- Finished with two shots, both goals
 
Stef Korfas (Jr.) – Men's Basketball (Thessaloniki, Greece | San Marcos | Cuesta)
- Started all three games during the week
- Averaged 37 minutes per game
- Scored a career-high and a Laker season-high 25 points in a loss to Augusta
- Averaged 16.6 points per game
- Added five rebounds and five assists against Georgia College
