MORROW, Ga. -- Clayton State Athletics is set for a Tuesday doubleheader as the men's and women's basketball teams are each at home on the same date for the first time this season.
The women open the evening with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff against Clark Atlanta while the men host Valdosta State at 7:30 p.m.

Women's Basketball
The women are coming off of back-to-back losses and last played on Nov. 26 at Belmont Abbey. For the season, they are 4-2 and have played just once at home, losing 73-66 to No. 19 Carson-Newman on Nov. 23.
The Panthers sit 2-6 for the season and last played on Saturday where they fell 71-58 to Lane College. Clark Atlanta has played a pair of conference games already this season, winning both by an average of 10.5 points.
Clayton State is led by
Timi'a Swanson and
Audrey McElhaney. Swanson is scoring 12.8 points per game while McElhaney is scoring 12.2. Swanson also leads the team in rebounds with 7.5 boards a game.
Taniya Patrick is third on the team with 8.8 points and is second with 6.3 rebounds. The junior recorded her first double-double of the season at Belmont Abbey.
Clark leads the overall series 4-2 and won the last matchup 74-66. The two teams haven't played since Dec. 2, 2000.
Men's Basketball
The men have won three-straight and are looking to tie the season series against the Blazers. The Lakers fell 92-79 earlier in the season at Valdosta State.
Valdosta State leads the overall series 9-3. Clayton State last won against VSU on Nov. 27, 2000.
The Blazers are coming off a 86-79 loss to West Ga. on Saturday as they opened conference play. VSU, like Clayton State, are 4-3 for the year.
Three Lakers are scoring in double figures as newcomer
Ricardo Lynch is averaging a team-high 16.4 points per game. Twice this season he has scored 25 points.
Big man
Jalen Shaw is second on the team with 15 points a game while averaging 8.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks, all team highs.
Ricardo Saams Jr. is adding 12.1 points per game while shooting 73.9% from the field, a team and conference best.
Tuesday will be the final home game for the women this year as they play only once more, Saturday at Tuskegee. The men have a pair of games left in 2021. They travel to Florida Southern on Dec. 15 before closing the year with a home matchup against Savannah State.
