MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State men's basketball team will play its first game outside the Peach State Wednesday with a road matchup at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla.
Wednesday's matchup will mark the first time the two schools face off in men's basketball. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Through eight games, the Lakers own a 5-3 record and have won four-straight including wins over West Ga. and Valdosta State. Both teams reached the NCAA Tournament last season.
The men are coming off an 81-75 home win over VSU that featured four players scoring in double figures.
Jalen Shaw led the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds, marking his fourth double-double of the season.
On Monday, Shaw was named Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week with his performance. He also added two assists, two blocks and one steal.
Ricardo Lynch, who leads the team with 16 points per game, added 13 in the win. Lynch has scored at least 10 points seven times this season and has hit the 25-point mark twice.
Florida Southern sits at 4-5 for the season but is coming off a pair of wins over Palm Beach Atlantic and Lynn University.
Four players are averaging double-digit points with Xavier Rhodes leading the way with 15.1 points per game. E.J. Dambreville is scoring 11.7 points a game while pulling down 11.2 rebounds.
During Wednesday's game, the Mocs will recognize Clayton State Hall of Famer Gordon Gibbons. The former men's basketball coach coached at Florida Southern prior to his time at Clayton State.
