MORROW, Ga. – The Clayton State women's basketball team will play its final game of the calendar year on Saturday as the Lakers travel to Alabama to play at Tuskegee.
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. Live video will not be available for the game.
Saturday will be the third meeting between the two schools. Clayton State has won both matchups, the last coming in 2008.
The Lakers sit at 5-2 for the season and are coming off an 85-83 win over Clark Atlanta. In that game,
Audrey McElhaney scored 24 points and now sits ninth in the conference with 13.0 points per game.
Timi'a Swanson leads the team in rebounding and is seventh in the league with 7.3 boards a game.
Clayton State opened the season with four-straight wins before falling to No. 19 Carson-Newman at home by seven points. The Lakers then lost at Belmont Abbey by five points.
Tuskegee owns a 5-1 record. The Golden Tigers started the season with a 3-0 record. Both teams have wins over Delta State and Clark Atlanta.
After Saturday, the Lakers have the rest of the month off. Clayton State opens conference play on January 5 with a trip to Young Harris College.
